If you are planning a long weekend in Lisbon and staring at your suitcase wondering what actually makes sense, I get it.

Lisbon looks sunny and effortless in photos. And it is. But it is also steep, full of cobblestones and surprisingly breezy in the evenings. You will walk more than you think. You will sit outside for hours. And you will want outfits that feel comfortable but still put together.
This is what I wore in Lisbon and what I would pack again for a three day trip.

Lisbon is not flashy. It is relaxed, simple and quietly stylish.
People wear neutral colours. Easy silhouettes. Good shoes. Nothing feels overdone, but no one looks sloppy either. Even in summer, it feels more like city style than beach style.
I found that the key was balance. Comfort first, but always a little structure.
Exploring Alfama

Black tank – COS
White shirt – Zara
White trousers – Arket
Sneakers – New Balance
Bag – Mulberry
This was my most worn formula.
White wide leg trousers, a black tank and a lightweight shirt thrown over the top. Comfortable sneakers and a crossbody bag.
It looks simple, but it works. The contrast keeps it sharp in photos, and the sneakers are non negotiable once you start walking uphill through Alfama. I was very grateful I did not bring heels.
Belém Day Trip

White tee – Sporty & Rich
Tailored shorts – COS
Sneakers – New Balance
Tote bag – Strathberry
Cap – Anine Bing
Belém feels more open and airy, especially by the water.
I would wear tailored shorts with a simple white tee and sneakers. Add a tote bag and sunglasses. A cap is practical if it is very sunny.
It is slightly sportier, but still clean and intentional. The goal is to feel light and comfortable, not overdressed.
City Stroll in Spring

Cardigan – COS
White tee – Samsøe Samsøe
White trousers – Arket
Sneakers – New Balance
Bag – Mulberry
For walking around Baixa and Chiado in the afternoon and into the evening, layering helped a lot.
White wide leg trousers again, a fitted tee and a soft cardigan. Sneakers, simple gold jewellery and a structured bag.
Even if the day is warm, the temperature drops when the sun goes down. I was happy to have something to throw on.
Dinner in Lisbon

Top – NAKD
Skirt – Other Stories
Bag – Ganni
Sandals – Tory Burch
Lisbon is chic but relaxed at night.
A black midi skirt or a simple black dress works perfectly. Pair it with flat sandals and a small bag. You do not need heels to look dressed up here. In fact, you will probably regret them.
It is more about clean lines and good proportions than being overly dressed.

My 3 Day Lisbon Capsule Wardrobe
If I packed again, this is what I would bring:
A white tee
A lightweight shirt
One slightly dressier top
White wide leg trousers
A black skirt
Tailored shorts
Midi dress
One soft cardigan or light knit
Comfortable sneakers
Flat sandals
Crossbody bag
Tote bag
Sunglasses
Simple gold jewellery
Everything mixes easily. Nothing feels extra. And you can repeat pieces without it feeling obvious.

What I Would Not Pack Again
Heels
Brand new shoes
Heavy fabrics
Anything too beachy
Lisbon is beautiful, but it is practical. Dress for walking, then make it chic.
What I loved about dressing in Lisbon is that it felt easy. The city does not require drama. Neutral pieces, good shoes and thoughtful layering are more than enough.
If you pack with that in mind, you will feel comfortable all day and still look polished in every photo.
